The Black Church from Windrush to Obama:  Changing Church, Changing Society

Our new Trustee, Dr R David Muir, invited Caroline Watts to attend this conference on 30 October, in order to publicise the work of the Trust.  A number of people spoke, including The Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP and Desmond Swayne MP;  they paid tribute to the enormous contribution the black led churches are making to the communities where they are strongest.  The participants reiterated that the Christian Church is one family no matter a person's race or colour. The King James Bible is still used widely in the Black majority churches and we hope very much, that they will put on a number of events to help us get to 400 events for 400 years!
