The Bible in Voice and Verse
Singer Belinda Yates, actor Lance Pierson and pianist Heather Chamberlain form a concert trio called "In Voice and Verse." They put together special word and music concerts on particular subjects. In 2011 they will be performing "The Bible in Voice and Verse" to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. Lance will recite key passages from the Bible interspersed with performances of famous pieces of music which those words inspired, sung by Belinda. The music will include excerpts from Haydn's ‘Creation', Handel's ‘Messiah' and SS Wesley's ‘Blessed be the God and Father' amongst many others.
