This October, the Bush Theatre will open thedoors to its new home with Sixty-Six Books, an epic performance cycle featuringover 100 artists from across the globe.

Celebrating the 400thanniversary of the publication of the King James Bible, each book of this greatEnglish work is spoken to by a remarkable range of playwrights, poets,songwriters and novelists from all faiths and none, from over a dozen countriesand across five continents. From Jeanette Winterson to Jack Thorne, Carol Ann Duffyto the Archbishop of Canterbury, sixty-six acclaimed writers fill every cornerof the Bush Theatre with contemporary responses to some of the oldest storiesever told.

Sixty-Six Books will begin andend with two epic twenty-four hour events on the 14th and 28th of October whereyou can experience all the sixty-six responses and explore our new home from theattic to the cellar. During the week, you can see a selection ofresponses each night as well as testing out the brand new Bush bar and cafe.

Sixty-Six Books will travel toWestminster Abbey for a special, twelve-hour overnight vigil on the 21st ofOctober. You'll also get the chance to listen to a selection of responsesfor free in special phone boxes located around Shepherd's Bush and the Southbank.
