Reflecting the fact that 2011 is the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, PCN Britain has invited one of the world’s foremost biblical scholars, John Dominic Crossan, to delve into the biblical texts concerning the birth and death of Jesus.

Friday 16 September 7.30 pm Lecture by Dominic Crossan: introduction to his ways of approaching Biblical texts, looking in particular at the birth narratives.
£8 (£7 for PCN members).

Saturday 17 September 10.00 am - 4.00 pm Lectures given by Dominic Crossan on:
1. The Christmas stories of Matthew and Luke
2. The execution of Jesus in Mark
3. The resurrection of Jesus in Mark
Question and Answer opportunities.
Refreshments included, but bring a packed lunch.

Sunday 18 September 10.30 am Service of worship during which Dominic Crossan will preach on The Lord’s Prayer (the topic of his latest book), followed by an opportunity to talk informally with him over refreshments.
Entrance free.

Preparatory reading of The First Christmas and The Last Week, both written jointly by Dominic Crossan and Marcus Borg is recommended but not essential.
