Time: Mon - Sat: 10-5, Sun 12-5
Location: City Art Centre, 2 Market Street, Edinburgh, United Kingdom

To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the printing of the King James Bible, Edinburgh's City Art Centre have joined forces with Scottish artist David Mach to create a major exhibition for the summer of 2011. Over three years in the planning, and covering 5 gallery floors of the Art Centre, the exhibition will include a vast array of David's collages and sculptures.

Taking inspiration from Scripture, the collages and sculptures will depict scenes from Genesis to Revelation. Cinematic in scale, they bring a contemporary dimension to Biblical stories such as The Flood, Crossing the Red Sea, Jesus' miracles and the epic visions of St John. All of these new works will appear in the centre piece of the exhibition, a new luxury printed bible. In addition David is planning to publish a new I-Bible.

A contemporary sculptural version of Calvary, three massive coat hanger crucifixions suspended from steel crosses will greet visitors as they enter the gallery.
