Re:Creation is a new Biblical oratorio for soloists, choir and orchestra telling the Bible story using a contemporary Biblical text compiled by URC minister Derek Wensley with a substantial melodic score composed by sacred and theatrical writer David Perkins. In the tradition of the great choral works of 400years ago, Re:Creation was launched in Guildford 2007 in 5 parts describing the grand sweep of Biblical intent from the opening verses of Genesis to the conclusion of the Revelation of St.John. Re:Creation's April 2009 London premiere at St.John's Smith Square was performed by Consortium, Chameleon Arts Orchestra and 5 soloists including Jeremy White of the Royal Opera House who sang the voice of God. Throughout 2011 Re:Creation will be presented in its full (100 minute) or abridged(60 minute)versions by Choral societies and Choirs across the UK celebrating the 400th Anniversary of the King James Version bible but demonstrating how the Bible's story continues to be told through inspirational choral music and a modern text. Further details later- any wanting to explore presenting Re:Creation in their area during 2011, should contact Derek Wensley via the website

On 11th June 2011 Noel Tredinnick, Director of Music at All Souls Langham Place, has agreed to conduct a Gala performance with the  augmented Re:Creation Singers as the climax of the 6 day London Pentecost Festival
