Join us as we say Happy 400th Birthday to the best selling book ever – the King James Bible – in true Creation storytelling style.

See the Bible come to life in our colourful show: Tales from King James.

A boat big enough for every animal, a sea parted in two and a man swallowed by a whale - just some of the extraordinary tales you'll see burst into life with energy, comedy and insight.

Creation Theatre Compnay Oxford's largest professional producing company are proud to be taking part in these international celebrations, because the King James Bible is rooted in Oxford. It was translated by Oxford scholars, the Oxford University Press help fund it, the manuscripts are in the Bodleian library and now it will be performed in one of Oxford's best kept secrets the beautiful St Banabas church!

Tales from King James is accessible for both a sophisticated Bible-literate audience and for those who are just getting to know the Bible. Indeed, this thought provoking retelling of Biblical stories would be an ideal event for adults, young people, and children: everyone!

Tickets will be between £8.50 and £25, and the play lasts approximately 1hr 20mins. Performances will be Monday-Saturday evenings with some matinées.
