The City of London Corporation are pleased to celebrate the initiative and the young peoples’ work in Guildhall on the morning of 12th May 2011.

Two writers have been appointed to lead the creative work in schools in partnership with the teachers assigned by the partner schools.

  • Rommi Smith is a poet and playwright with a strong interest in music. She has been the Parliamentary Writer in Residence and is currently the Keats House Poet in Residence. She will be working with secondary schools. Visit to find out more.
  • Bridget Crowley will be managing the primary schools activities. Bridget is a published children's writer who has worked extensively on Young Cultural Creators projects, including Bethlehem Royal Hospital and Tate Gallery St Ives.

Both have worked extensively in schools across all ages and abilities.

City of London Heritage Services Interpretation staff will be contributing as required.

There are seven schools taking part with around 20-25 pupils per school.
