A double celebration of the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible and the King’s Printer, Robert Barker, a famous “son of Datchet” whose name lives on in the Barker Bridge House Trust. A beautiful folio edition of the Bible from St George’s Chapel Windsor will be displayed. A drama telling the story of Robert Barker and the Bible will be performed by local school pupils and members of the church. The Bishop of Buckingham will give an address, and there will be music, songs and choral music performed by the church choir and school pupils from Datchet. And of course there will be readings from the King James Bible.
