Choral Evensong in Honour of the Quadricentenary of the King James Bible
Choral evensong will be sung by the Chancel Choir of Trinity Presbyterian Church on the occasion of the quadricentenary of the King James Version of the Bible and in thanksgiving to God for the rendering of Holy Scripture in the Vernacular Tongue. The canticles will be the setting of Charles Villiers Stanford in G Major, and the anthem is the motet of Dr. Christopher Tye, “Laudate Nomen Domini.” The organist and director of the choir is Justin James Rojek, MSM, and the assistant organist is Elizabeth V. Arnold, MM. The soloists are Elizabeth M. Pirtle, soprano, and Michael D. Schrier, bass. The Reverend Patrick Wesley Curles, M.Div., will deliver the homily.
